This Privacy Policy explains what information AKHAIA & Company (“we,” “us”) collects when you use akhaiastore.com, how we use it, and how to reach us. It applies to our handmade leather shop and related contact forms.
When you contact us. If you send a message through our contact form or email hello@akhaiastore.com, we receive the name, email, phone (if you provide it), subject, and message you submit — including any cart summary you ask us about.
When you check out. Card checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects payment and shipping details needed to process your order — typically name, email, shipping address, and phone. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
Automatically. Like most sites, we may receive basic technical data such as browser type, device, approximate location from IP, and pages viewed. We use Google Analytics (gtag) to understand how the shop is used.
On your device. Your cart is stored in your browser (localStorage) so it can persist between pages. Ask-a-question prefill may use sessionStorage briefly and is cleared after the contact form is filled.
We use information to fulfill and ship orders within the US, answer questions, improve the site, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal or accounting needs. We do not sell your personal information.
We share data with service providers who help us run the shop, including Stripe (payments and checkout), Web3Forms (contact form delivery), hosting/CDN providers, and Google Analytics. Carriers receive the shipping address needed to deliver your order. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We keep order and inquiry records as long as needed for fulfillment, customer service, taxes, and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize when we no longer need them.
You can email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. You can clear cart/storage data in your browser settings. Analytics and advertising tools may offer their own opt-outs.
The shop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use reputable providers and HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password for email accounts you use with us.
We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version will always be on this page.
